Our mon (紋; emblem, crest) represents the peace that comes from both balance and flexibility. At the center is a pictogram of a shield balanced on each side by a single tongue of fire. The character for “peace” illustrates the balance between opposing forces. When there is equilibrium among humans, then nature and the heavens are balanced, and peace prevails. Surrounding the character is a circle of bamboo representing flexibility in thought, technique, and response.
